Description

“In trying to become enough, we build the very thing that keeps us from our own freedom.”

The desire to be enough can become something that slowly tightens around us, until we no longer recognize where it began. This painting traces that tension, the way identity can become entangled with expectation, until it feels difficult to separate who we are from who we are trying to be. Inspired by the artist’s own struggles, it reflects the quiet exhaustion of constantly reaching outward. Somewhere within that effort, something softer, more original, begins to fade.
